Singer Ruby sparked controversy, hours after releasing her latest song, “3 Hours Straight,” to the point of accusing her of having sexual connotations.
A source in the Musical Professions Syndicate, in a statement to Masrawy, said: “Council members and Captain Mustafa Kamel, after the controversy raised on social media about the song, consultations took place between them, and some expressed their dissatisfaction with the words.”
He continued: “It was agreed with the captain to hold a meeting today, Sunday, to discuss opinions about the song’s sexual connotations.”
The song “3 Straight Hours” sparked widespread controversy on social media, because of its lyrics that say: “The first hour of your longing.. The second hour of your longing.. The third hour of your longing. How does my heart adore you?”
The song was written and composed by Aziz Al-Shafi’i, arranged by Touma, and released on the official channel of the artist Ruby, via YouTube.
