Rubu’ Qarn Foundation Launches “Imagination and Creativity Camp” for Theater and Performing Arts

SHARJAH, 6th July, 2020 (WAM) — The Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for the Industry of Leaders and Innovators launched the Rubu’ Qarn Camp for Theater and Performing Arts, entitled “Imagination and Creativity Camp” under the slogan “Imagine and Create Theater for the Future,” which takes place from July 13 to August 17. It is a creative space. In-depth training for employees of quarter-century institutions who have exceeded the levels of training in theater and performance arts programs in order to highlight their distinguished theatrical talents and deepen their knowledge and culture with the aim of developing their sensory, cognitive, physical and leadership personality through the presence of highly qualified experts and trainers to be able to present artistic performances in a global visual language, so that these performances will be as their message to the world.

The “Imagination and Creativity” camp is part of the activities of the Rubu’ Qarn Theater and Performing Arts 2023 project, which targets members of Sharjah children, Sharjah youth, and Sharjah and Sharjah girls, to develop capabilities within the age groups from 6 to 31 years, who have completed the levels of both the performing arts program and the puppet arts program.

The camp’s activities are divided into two phases, the first entitled “Gestural Arts and Creativity” and the second “Puppet Arts and Imagination”, where it is expected that 4-8 artistic performances will be presented by the camp participants through 10 hours of daily training that qualifies them to present these performances to the public.

The first stage of the Rubu’ Qarn Camp for Theater and Performing Arts “Imagination and Creativity” includes workshops in the arts of gesture and creativity within the performing arts program, which seeks to introduce participants to various exercises that enable them to develop and explore their creative and expressive skills and the basics of gesture from silent performance and movement speech that reaches any audience while The second phase of the camp presents “Puppetry and Imagination” workshops within the Puppet Arts Program, allowing the participants the opportunity to learn the basics of this art and to make and animate some puppet models that pave the way for them to creative imagination and artistic expression by writing their stories and stories to present presentations with different techniques of puppet art according to best practices and creative standards. for this kind of art.
