Rubí PAH camp ends after 40 days of protest

The Platform for those Affected by the Mortgage (PAH) de Ruby (Vallès Occidental) has raised this past Friday the camping that was Fourty days in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento as a protest to ask for a solution to the housing crisis in the city.

The entity and the consistory have reached an agreement to find one housing solution for scheduled and imminent evictions from the Zamenhof streets and Albacete.

In this way, in the first case the re-accommodation of the inhabitants has been negotiated and in the second, the council has made a formalized request for the transfer of the home to the property, Anticipate, so that through a social entity the family can maintain the flat where they live.

Negotiation table

On the other hand, the Rubí Town Hall has agreed to convene a negotiation table, before the end of the year, with the PAH, social entities, vulture funds and banks. This is one of the requests that the Platform for People Affected by the Mortgage had claimed the most, which is satisfied by the agreements reached, although it states: “The fight is still going on. We will not accept half measures and if the promise is not fulfilled, we will be the nightmare of a government that has long positioned itself on the side of capital ”.
