Kocēni “Rubene” closed the “Elvi floorball league” tournament for women without losses on Thursday. “Rubene” at home with 9: 7 (2: 3, 4: 3, 3: 1) beat Kocēni “Rubene – 1” floorball players.

After Madlēna Rozīte’s goal, the guests achieved a 5: 2 advantage in the 28th minute, in the 41st minute Linda Līce raised the “Rubene – 1” team to the last time – 7: 6, but the final name belonged to the housewives, who also won in the 20th game from 20.

Marta Lība Zameca and Simona Grāpēna gained three (2 + 2) performance points, three (2 + 1) – Laura Gaugere. Rozīte (3 + 1) and Elīna Sirmā (2 + 2) accumulated four performance points in the ranks of the losers.

“Rubene” finished the main tournament with 60 points, ahead of “Ķekavas Bulldogs” / NND with 38 points. 33 points were collected by “Līgatne”, 32 – by “Rubene – 1” and Cēsis “Lekrings”, 31 – by “Ķekava”, 14 – by NND / RJTC, and “Irlava” / “Tukums-Slampe” finished without points. In the quarterfinals up to three victories, “Rubene – 1” will compete with “Lekrings”, but “Ķekava” – with “Līgatne”.

12 teams are competing in the men’s competition this season, but eight units are competing in the women’s competition. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the 2019/2020 season and the state of emergency declared in the country due to it, the Latvian champions and medalists remained unclear, but the last championship was jerked and with a smaller number of playoffs for the same reason. The teams of Kocēni “Rubene” won in the final in Valmiera.
