«It’s a very competitive league, one of the best in the world. It’s a good project, they believe in the players and take care of the young people. That’s why I chose to come here. I want to help Verona achieve its goals. We will fight until the end,” the 24-year-old left-back told the gialloblú website.
At Verona, Vinagre met Dani Silva, ex-V. Guimaraes. «It’s easy to understand him, we speak the same language, we grew up in the same region and we have similar habits. It’s easy for me to adapt because he helps me a lot», he confessed.
Rúben Vinagre arrived at Sporting in 2021 on loan from Wolverhampton, with a purchase clause of 10 million euros being activated for 50 percent of the pass. The full-back was unable to establish himself in Rúben Amorim’s team, he was loaned to Everton and Hull City and now to Verona, until the end of the season, with a purchase option worth 4 million euros. He has a contract with Sporting valid until 2026.
