Rúben Dias explained that he is not afraid to deal with adversity or criticism. The central defender recalled his time at Benfica, and the time when he was close to relegation at Benfica B.
“I think that information inevitably always ends up reaching me. More than just me or my family. I always end up having an idea. Now, it’s not something that consumes me. I’ve never allowed it to be like that since training, since my first season in Benfica’s B team in which we almost went down a division and at the last moment we managed to hold on. I also didn’t tremble when there were more difficult moments in Benfica’s main team. I usually say that whenever they talk to me about a player, I ask who it was the difficult moment that he has already overcome. Then, I will define the character of this player, this person. When he constantly has difficult moments and overcomes them, that means something”, he said in an interview with DAZN, which will be released next week.
