With Pablo Villar’s departure confirmed, Vizela is already beginning to prepare the Spanish coach’s succession. In that regard, Ruben de la Barrera is assumed as a possibility for take over technical command of the Minho team.
The news was advanced by Record and confirmed by zerozero, and the signing of the Spaniard could be made official soon. Currently 38 years old, the coach was introduced as El Salvador’s coach last September.
Despite his “young” age, de la Barrera already has extensive experience in the lower echelons of Spanish football. In addition to these experiences, there are also stints with Ah Ahli, from Qatar, and Viitorul Constanta, from Romania.
At the moment, Vizela occupies 17th place in the Liga Portugal Betclic.
