Rúben Amorim should repeat the eleven that started the rout of Casa Pia; Koindredi called up but starts on the bench
Presented on Wednesday, the last day of the winter market, Koba Koindredi was called up by Rúben Amorim for this Saturday’s game, with Famalicão — 6 pm, in Minho, on the 20th round of the championship. The 22-year-old midfielder is looking ahead to his debut but will start on the bench, because no major changes are expected in the eleven.
It was the Leonine coach himself who announced the call-up of the Frenchman who the Lions signed from Estoril for €4 million and it was also Amorim who explained the acquisition of the midfielder: «We are preparing the future knowing that, when we look at Koba, we are not just buying the player he is, but what he can be. And what we think he can be, in a year or two, we would have to pay a lot more for a player like him.”
Koba aside, no changes are expected in the Leonine eleven for this Saturday’s meeting. The biggest doubt lies on the right wing, with Geny Catamo — returning from the African Cup of Nations, entering the second half with Casa Pia and also scoring and assisting in the 8-0 — threatening Ricardo Esgaio’s place. Nuno Santos will also remain in the starting team on the opposite side, on the left wing. Hjulmand and Pedro Gonçalves, while Japanese Hidemasa Morita continues in the Asian Cup, should complete the line of four in midfield.
In defense, the trio still does not have Ivorian Diomande, who is in CAN, and that is why Eduardo Quaresma remains on the right. Coates and Gonçalo Inácio complete the sector. The goal belongs to Adán.
At the front, Gyokeres is essential and must be accompanied by Edwards and Trincão — Paulinho is on the lookout.
