In the future, the collaboration will ensure that areas of expertise are bundled and that better patient care can be provided, specifically aimed at hereditary movement disorders. During multidisciplinary consultations, experts from certain fields put their heads together to discuss the results of DNA tests on patients.

In addition, the merger will increase the number of patients, making it possible to conduct even better research into new treatment methods and the origin of the disorders. The joining of forces of the two university centers should, in addition to providing better patient care, also serve as a starting point for profiling itself as a leader in the field of scientific research and training.
