RTV Drenthe wants to talk to Derksen about the future of the radio program

RTV Drenthe wants to talk to Johan Derksen in the short term about the future of the daily radio program that he makes at the broadcaster.

Derksen has been making the program for several years now Music for Adults† Other broadcasters that also broadcast the program, such as Radio West, Rijnmond and NH Radio, decided yesterday to stop broadcasting the program with immediate effect. The management of RTV Drenthe first wants to talk to Derksen themselves.

The Grolloo resident came under fire this week after telling television program Today Inside that he had penetrated a drunk and unconscious woman with a candle in the 1970s. He himself said he was ashamed of this, but other people present at the table reacted with a laugh. Then a storm of criticism broke out. A day later, Derksen nuanced his statements and said that there was no question of penetration.

Last night, according to Talpa Network, those involved would apologize, but that did not happen. Derksen said instead to quit the TV show. Today he had a conversation with Talpa together with presenter Wilfred Genee and regular guest René van der Gijp. There it was definitively decided that they did not want to continue the program.

The Holland International Blues Festival in Grolloo, of which Derksen is co-organizer, will take place this year. This has been announced by concert organizer MOJO. The commotion surrounding Derksen will not affect the event, which will be held in June. It is not yet clear what his exact role will be. According to MOJO, this is determined by the organization of the festival.

The tour The Sound of The Blues & Americana will also continue from Sunday, but without Derksen. He was supposed to act as ringmaster there, but theater agency AT Next has immediately terminated the collaboration with Derksen.
