MIREA – Russian Technological University has developed a mobile application for drivers of electric vehicles “Moskvich”. Using the application under the working title Moskvich Tracker, it will be possible to control the new domestic electric car Moskvich 3e, the production of which was launched at the end of 2022.

An electric car is a product of high technology. Its owner is not easy to do without mobile applications that become a link with the car. And today there are many applications that offer Internet processing services for the state of the car from a smartphone.

Graduates of the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Institute of Information Technologies of the RTU MIREA analyzed existing similar projects and identified a lot of their shortcomings: instability of work, the presence of advertising and paid content.

But most importantly, foreign developments process data through the office of the developer company. Under the conditions of Russia’s disconnection from the European market, it is either impossible or unsafe to use such applications.

The Moskvich Tracker application allows you to display basic dashboard information on a smartphone running the Android operating system. Using a smartphone, the owner of an electric car with the help of an application will be able to set up control systems for the car’s engine, automatic transmission, anti-lock assembly, anti-theft complex, control panel, security system, in particular airbags, and so on.

The application allows you to remotely monitor the condition of the car, check its resources and prevent breakdowns, which means saving on maintenance.

RTU MIREA conducted a full test of the Moskvich Tracker application and applied for state registration of the program.
