RTLZWEI Announces Reorganization of Marketing and Communication
Munich, Germany – RTLZWEI, a popular German television station, has announced a reorganization of its marketing and communication departments. The changes, which will take effect in July, aim to streamline operations and enhance the station’s consumer communication.
One of the key changes is the departure of Carlos Zamorano, who has been with RTLZWEI for ten years. Zamorano will be leaving the company to found “Purple Lemon Tree,” a full-service organization specializing in communication, digital production, and artist management. However, Zamorano will continue to be associated with RTLZWEI as a partner and will directly oversee the operational support of consumer communication for the station.
Taking over Zamorano’s responsibilities for consumer communication will be Jörg Neunecker, the current Head of Corporate Communications and B2B Marketing. Neunecker will now be responsible for all communications at RTLZWEI and EL CARTEL in his new position as Director of Communications. He will report directly to Managing Director Andreas Bartl.
Julian Krietsch, the Head of Channel Strategy & Content Distribution, will also take on additional responsibilities for B2C marketing for RTLZWEI. Krietsch will be in charge of consumer marketing and music collaborations, working closely with his team to develop the station’s brand strategy.
The reorganization also involves other key personnel changes. Marco Kunze, the Head of Channel Management, will oversee cross-platform content planning, windowing strategy, and station promotion. Thomas Elbracht, the Head of Music & Live Entertainment, will move his department to the business area to leverage synergy effects and offer tailor-made solutions in the market.
Andreas Bartl, Managing Director of RTLZWEI, expressed his confidence in the reorganization, stating, “The teams at RTLZWEI are characterized by strong team spirit, many years of experience, and fast decision-making processes. We will, therefore, implement the restructuring in the area of marketing and communication with colleagues from our own ranks.”
Carlos Zamorano, who played a significant role in establishing RTLZWEI as a leading media brand, expressed his gratitude for his time at the company. “For exactly ten years, I was able to develop and help shape RTLZWEI, one of the most emotionally charged media brands,” said Zamorano. He also expressed excitement about his new venture with “Purple Lemon Tree” and hinted at more details to come.
