A potential tragedy could have been avoided in Flanders, where a young man was arrested by the police after posting very disturbing messages.
As our colleagues from the Gazet van Antwerpen report, a pupil from a school in Limburg has been arrested by the police.
For several days, other students and parents had reported to the police that a teenager was behaving suspiciously: he was posting messages on his Snapchat account in which he promised that soon there would be “un bain de sanguine” within his school.
Action was taken and an investigation was subsequently opened and the suspect was identified and arrested by police on Thursday evening.
Planned activities at the facility this Friday will make him well, according to police “the threat has been neutralized”.
