Tomorrow the report of the BNNVARA program BOOS about the abuses at “The Voice of Holland” will be on YouTube. Then it will become clear which allegations the program makers have received, against which parties involved in the talent show. It cannot be ruled out that the stories that have already come out are just the tip of the iceberg, and that even more stories and indictments may rain down in the coming days.
The only person who has admitted his involvement so far is Jeroen Rietbergen, orchestra leader at “The Voice of Holland”. In an open letter, he admits that the allegations about him are true, and that he has engaged in “sexual conduct” and sent “sexual messages”. So far, no charges have been filed against Rietbergen. Some women did say in a Dutch talk show that they were groped by Rietbergen.
Rietbergen himself resigned from “The Voice of Holland”. His partner Linda de Mol, sister of “Voice” creator John de Mol, broke off their relationship. In addition to “The Voice of Holland”, broadcaster RTL has meanwhile also suspended “The Voice kids” and “The Voice senior”.
