RTL is working on the return of Big Brother on Dutch television NOW

Big Brother will return to Dutch television after years of absence. RTL confirms this on Sunday evening RTL Boulevard. It is not yet known when the program will be shown again.

RTL is on RTL Boulevard know to work together with production company Endemol Shine on a return of Big Brother.

The ‘mother of all reality soaps’ was broadcast on Dutch television from 1999 to 2006. Abroad Big Brother still popular: for example, it is currently still broadcast in Germany and America.

The concept Big Brother was devised by John de Mol and Paul Römer, among others. The program requires nine candidates to spend a hundred days together in a house. In the house, they are closed off from the outside world and are followed by cameras day and night. During the stay, candidates must nominate other candidates. The winner of the show receives a cash prize.

The first edition in 1999 was won by resident Bart Spring in ‘t Veld.
