The Champions League and the Europa League can be seen on other channels from the 2024/2025 season. RTL and Talpa’s contract with the UEFA European football association expires after next season.

It is still unclear which party will run away with broadcast rights for the two biggest European club tournaments, although Woerts expects Ziggo Sport to have acquired all the rights. “That’s 99.9 percent sure,” he said.
The Champions League matches have been broadcast on RTL 7 since the summer of 2021. The second major European tournament, the Europa League, can be seen in Veronica since last year. Both sides have a three-year contract with UEFA.
Veronica also broadcasts the Conference League, the third European club tournament. The Europa League and Conference League can also be seen on the ESPN pay channel. Ziggo Sport currently owns the Champions League rights along with RTL.
