For the second consecutive week, Paul Barjon missed the cut. Prematurely eliminated eight days ago at Houston Open in his adopted Texas, the only French member of the PGA Tour was again victim, this Friday, of the ax of the two turns. After a solid 69 (-3) at the opening Thursday on the Plantation Course, Barjon could not keep up the pace, crossing the first leg in the par (two birdies, two bogeys) before making a few mistakes on the return. Thus at 13 a bullet in the bunker led him to a bogey, while at 14 he conceded an ugly double following a chip-three putts. And if a birdie at 18 allowed him to snatch a 72 (+2) on the Seaside Course, the Frenchman at -1 total missed the qualification for the weekend by three lengths. He will return to competition in mid-January in Hawaii on the occasion of the Sony Open.
