JawaPos.com– Internal Medicine Specialist at the Academic Hospital (RSA) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Agit Sena Adisetiadi said that SARS CoV-2 can trigger gangrene or death of body tissue. This is due to the body losing blood supply due to infection or lack of oxygen.
Agit Sena said, Covid-19 can cause blood clotting or clotting disorders (coagulopathy) and disruption of blood clotting flow which causes oxygen disruption to certain organs.
