In eight matches in the Czech Extraliga, the native of České Budějovice has collected 4 goals and 6 assists. He didn’t score in only one game, when the leader of the competition was eliminated by Sparta.
“I have some points, but I think I can play even better. And again I was weak at the goal. Almost every game when we get a goal, I’m on the ice, which makes me a little sad. We need to improve this a bit. But offensively they are doing well so far and of course I am happy for that,” said Lukáš Sedlák, who strengthened Dynamo before Christmas after terminating his contract in Philadelphia.
“For me, Sedlo is one of the best Czech players who is not in the NHL. And it shows. He’s a great kid, a hard worker. Not some fiflenka just driving around here. He plays hard, he expects to be played hard. He is an honest player,” goalkeeper Roman Will, who played with Sedlák in Chelyabinsk last season, praises his teammate.
After a three-point import from Liberec, the East Bohemians returned to the top of the extra league. “We were happier at the end,” he recalls the decisive goal that Robert Kousal scored less than twelve seconds before the end in a power play. “But I think we deserved it for that match. We had far more chances and could have scored more goals. In the end, we punished them. The match was good in a super atmosphere. I think the spectators also enjoyed it. The coaches maybe a little less, because there were a lot of mistakes,” assessed the 29-year-old Sedlák.
“We always let them play after a mistake. We made a lot of fouls, Liberec has good power players and they always kicked them. We made this ourselves. I think we were better in the five-on-five game,” said Sedlák.
2⃣ | For a long time it looked like the score would be tied even after the second period. However, three seconds before the second siren, Lukáš Sedlák put us in the lead 🤩

It was the leader of the visitors’ first formation who, after a foul with a high stick, offered the opponent a four-minute power-play, which the White Tigers, however, did not take advantage of. “The exclusion was a bit unlucky. I tried to go one-on-one with the player and gave him the stick. I’m glad that the guys waited it out, they did a good job and I hope I made up for it,” he concluded. He can add more Canadian points tomorrow on the ice of Litvínov.
