“Following today’s reports, I confirm that, after my cerebral infarction, I am saddened to no longer be active as editor-in-chief of Royalty magazine, which I devised and launched in 2007,” he said in writing. “From Audax, a company set up by the late Jacques de Leeuw, for which I worked for 34 years, largely as a freelancer, I understand that there will be no successor as editor-in-chief.”
Marc says that he will continue to deal with the subject of royalty. “I have been working for some time now with great pleasure for the weekly magazine Privé and various foreign magazines and newspapers.” There are also a number of new projects to be launched later on the agenda of the royal family expert, he reports.
The journalist wishes his former colleagues at Audax ‘good luck in the future’. Marc thinks ‘with great gratitude of the wonderful years I experienced there and the opportunities I was given. It was great to publish a new magazine that has since grown into the largest in the segment.’
In the internal letter of 24 May, which is in the hands of the ANP, it can be read that Marc and Audax Publishing have ‘parted from each other’. Audax Publishing declined to comment.
