The latest image of Prince Harry on Meghan Markle is absolutely not to my liking. The couple is on the cover of Time magazine and, according to many, looks very and unnaturally processed. If you look closely, you will notice a yellow stripe on the prince’s right cheek, perhaps a result of digital erasing or a color correction. A lot is also said about the pose of the couple. Meghan Markle is in the foreground with lavishly styled hair, while the Prince seems to be hiding behind it a bit. This gives him the comparison with a hairdresser who explains to a customer in the mirror how the haircut came about. It’s also not clear whether Harry is sitting down, standing up or leaning slightly so as not to look much bigger than his wife. It is clear according to many social media users: it all looks a bit clumsy.
A record price has been paid in Britain this week for a fine Cartier bracelet with pearl and diamonds from princess Margaret, who lived from 1930 to 2002. She wore the accessory, among other things, in the portrait that was made on her nineteenth birthday. Now the piece has been auctioned in London for around £400,000. That corresponds to a sloppy 456,000 euros, an amount for which you already have a real villa in many Flemish villages. It was estimated that Queen Elizabeth II’s jewel would fetch her younger sister between £30,000 and £40,000, but that it would be achieved tenfold was beyond expectations. It is not known who the new owner of the bracelet is, who also receives a certificate as proof of authenticity.
Next Tuesday, September 21, it’s Prince’s Day in the Netherlands, but the festivities were pushed back a bit more. At the beginning of this week it was announced that there will be no balcony scene at Noordeinde Palace this year either. There is literally something going on with the Dutch Queen. She hurt her right hand last summer. It is not clear what exactly she has been up to, but the body part has been splinted.
