Royal Style – Charlotte Casiraghi and Beatrice of York were also at the Met Gala

One of the granddaughters of the Queen of England, Elizabeth II, and one of the nieces of Prince Albert II of Monaco. Princess Beatrice of York and Charlotte Casiraghi brought a touch of blue blood to the Met Gala, this Monday evening May 7 in New York.

Organized like every year on the first Monday of May, this very glamorous charity evening, for the benefit of the Costume Institute (the fashion department) of the Metropolitan Museum, was placed, for this 2018 vintage, under the sign of the Roman Church. A nod to the Costume Institute’s new exhibition titled “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”. Understand “Heavenly Bodies: Catholic Fashion and Imagination”.

While the stars played the bidding side dresses or headdresses, Beatrice like Charlotte had not bet, for their part, on extravagant looks. The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson appeared in a long purple dress, with a collar, armholes and cuffs outlined with a large jeweled braid. The “Daily Mail” specified that this outfit, worthy of a Greek goddess, was a personalized dress signed Alberta Ferretti and inspired by the fall winter 2018 collection of the famous Italian designer. The 29-year-old princess, who according to British media is currently working in New York as vice president of partnerships and strategy at computer software company Afiniti, had taken care to adorn her hair with five rows of pearls.

Charlotte Casiraghi wore a Saint Laurent creation

Charlotte Casiraghi appeared in a very different style. The eldest daughter of Princess Caroline of Hanover wore a very short draped dress with an asymmetrical neckline, revealing her right shoulder. Black, it was dotted with small metallic stars. The 31-year-old had paired this Saint Laurent creation with black platform boots.
