“The princess took me to places that are important to her and we had conversations about everything that matters,” says De Breij on Instagram. Among the places important to Amalia are the royal stables.
The Crown Princess has been taking part in horse competitions for years – with varying degrees of success, it is her passion par excellence. The matches are never announced on the royal agenda, the press is not present and no photos are taken, those are the agreements so that Amalia can move freely.
“I am most who I am on a horse. If you really want to get to know me, you have to see me ride,” is one of Amalia’s poignant quotes from the book that will be released on November 16.
