The royal family is again captured by the media on Friday afternoon. Before the start of the summer holidays, the king, queen and their three daughters pose for the photographers. Willem-Alexander, Máxima and Princess Amalia will also answer some questions.

It is the first photo session since June last year. There was no time during the winter sports holiday in Lech in February. The Government Information Service reported at the time that the Oranges only wanted to be photographed if the family is complete. The RVD also stated that the photo sessions are no longer linked to winter and summer holidays. Princess Alexia was unable to come to Lech last winter because of her studies in Wales.

In recent years, the summer photo session has usually been in the garden of Huis ten Bosch palace or Villa Eikenhorst. In a few years, a different decor was chosen, such as the Wassenaarse beach, the Horsten estate and Warmond.
