The first holiday postcard shows the whole family together, but the second only shows the couple’s three children – 10-year-old Prince George, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte and five-year-old Prince Louis.
These images are by photographer Josh Shinner. He has publicly stated that he was extremely pleased to work with the royal family and revealed that this was one of the most peaceful photo shoots of his entire career. Absolutely no stress or fuss!
The whole family came to the photo session dressed in white shirts and jeans (except for Prince Louis, who, according to the traditions of British aristocrats, still wears shorts until a certain age).
As usual, on Christmas Day morning, the entire royal family went to the local church, which is located near the royal family’s Sandringham Castle. As in other years, the public’s undivided attention was focused on the children of Prince William and Princess Catherine of Wales. This was the second time Prince Louis, the patriarch of the family, had been taken to a Christmas service at the church. Last year, when it was the first time, fans followed with great interest how the little prince would behave, because during the year, when attending social events, he had earned the fame of a delver, because he was always up to something. Here they showed funny grimaces during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, here a tired and nicky man showed his mom a long nose during a military parade.

This year, William’s cousin Zara Tindall’s eldest daughter, Mia, joined the Prince of Wales’ children in the procession to church. The Tyndall family followed a few paces behind with their youngest daughter.
