The soap opera surrounding Pierre Dwomoh’s transfer takes a new turn. Royal Antwerp FC still wants to resell him for a profit.
Pierre Dwomoh was loaned out by Royal Antwerp FC to RWD Molenbeek this season. The deal also included a purchase option. This amounted to 1.5 million euros. RWDM was able to make a good deal, because Dwomoh’s value is already 2.5 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
The people of Brussels wanted to exercise the option at the end of March, but a week later it turned out that Eagle Football Holding, the owner of RWDM, thought that was too much money and the deal would not go through.
However, Dwomoh’s contract with Royal Antwerp FC expires this summer, meaning the 19-year-old player could leave for free. But The Great Old still thinks he can cash in on Dwomoh and wants to do so.
Extra season on Bosuil… to sell
The club still has an option for an extra season in Dwomoh’s contract and will exercise that option, according to Gazet van Antwerpen. This means he will remain on board until mid-2025. However, Dwomoh has no future on the Bosuil. Antwerp’s sole intention is to sell Dwomoh and realize added value on that transfer.
