Roy Suryo officially arrested related to cases of alleged blasphemy to hate speech with SARA nuances. The team of lawyers submitted a request for a suspension of detention to the investigators of the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya.
“We are asking for a postponement, because we are sick, not pretending to be sick,” said Elza when contacted, Saturday (6/8/2022).
The request for suspension of detention was submitted by a team of lawyers Roy Suryo this afternoon. Apart from the suspension of detention, continued Elza, there is nothing wrong with being a city prisoner.

“Suspension of arrest or city detention like that It’s okay,” he added.
Elza Syarief revealed the reason for his party to apply for a suspension of detention so that Roy Suryo could seek treatment.
“That’s the only goal so that we can get treatment regularly. We ask for prayers aja Mr. Roy is healthy,” he said.
Roy Suryo Detained by Police
Previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya decided hold Roy Suryo, a suspect in the alleged blasphemy case. Roy Suryo has been detained since tonight.
“Investigators have decided that starting tonight Roy Suryo Notodiprojo as a suspect in this hate speech will be detained,” said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Endra Zulpan, at a press conference at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Friday (5/8).
Zulpan explains detention Roy Suryo purely at the discretion of the investigator. One of the reasons the police detained Roy Suryo was because they feared that the evidence would be lost.
Roy Suryo has been detained at the Polda Metro Jaya detention center for the next 20 days since Friday (5/8). Roy Suryo was seen still wearing a neck brace when he was detained by the police.
