Madgaon: ATK Mohan Bagan regains top spot in ISL ATK beat North East United 2-0 in their ninth game of the season. Roy Krishna and Benjamin Lambot’s ongol gave ATK the victory. This is ATK’s sixth win of the season.
Both teams played in a 4-3-3 formation at Fatorda Stadium. ATK Mohun Bagan took the lead from the start in the 51st minute through a goal by superstar Roy Krishna. ATK’s lead was doubled in the 57th minute when North East’s Benjamin Lambot scored a goal. North East United had no choice.
With the win, ATK Mohun Bagan regained the top spot, overtaking Mumbai City. ATK has six wins and 20 points from nine games. North East United remain sixth with 11 points from nine matches. North East suffered their second defeat of the season.
