Fernandes is actually United’s first penalty taker, but awarded the golden opportunity at Goodison Park to Marcus Rashford. “Good for his self-confidence,” Fernandes said, making Ten Hag happy. The manager thought the Portuguese captain’s action showed great leadership. Keane has his own opinion. “That’s total nonsense,” Keane responds Sky Sports. “It really doesn’t make sense to come out with that.”

If they had finished sixth a few years ago, you would be ashamed, but now they seem to be happy with sixth place. They still have a very long way to go to be able to seriously compete with the best teams in the league: Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.”
