Manchester –
Roy Keane Not impressed with the Golden Glove award he won David De Gea. According to him, it did not help boost team performance.
De Gea ended the 2022/2023 season with the Golden Glove award. The 32-year-old goalkeeper recorded 17 clean sheets throughout the Premier League competition, the most compared to any other goalkeeper.
The Premier League Golden Glove trophy was presented to De Gea after the Manchester United vs Fulham match at Old Trafford. The Red Devils won 2-1, with De Gea saving Aleksandar Mitrovic’s penalty.

Negative comments came from MU legends, Roy Keane. For him, De Gea’s Golden Glove award meant nothing for the team’s success.
MU failed to win the Premier League trophy and had to settle for finishing in third place. Keane was also annoyed because De Gea often made blunders.
“Okay when he’s good, he’s won several Player of the Year awards – but what’s so great? It’s about what the team achieves,” said Keane, quoted from Daily Mail.
“I think he made too many mistakes over the years. He tried to leave the club a few years ago and tried to join Real Madrid,” he said.
