MADRID, 19 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Everton left the relegation positions this Monday, in the last match of the twenty-fifth matchday of the Premier League, after drawing with Crystal Palace (1-1), in which Roy Hodgson resigned as coach of the team just before of the party.
The English coach presented his resignation just a few hours before their match at Goodison Park and after leaving the hospital where he was admitted after feeling unwell during a team training session last Thursday.
Already with Ray Lewington and Paddy McCarthy as interim before the Austrian Oliver Glasner takes command, the ‘Eagles’ took the lead in the 66th minute with a goal from Jordan Ayew, but Amadou Onana, in the 84th minute, equalized the contest for the ‘Toffees’.
In this way, Crystal Palace is fifteenth with 25 points, five ahead of the relegation zone. Everton, for its part, marks the salvation with 20 points, which instead keeps Luton in dangerous positions.
