Six of them are conventional banks, namely Index Bank, BPD Sumsel Babel, BPD Nagari, BPD West Kalimantan, BPD DIY and MNC Bank. Meanwhile, the other four banks come from the Sharia Business Unit, namely BPD Sumsel Babel Syariah, BPD Nagari Syariah, BPD Kalbar Syariah, and BPD DIY Syariah. These banks are supported by sponsor banks, including BCA, Mandiri, BNI and BSI.
PT Rintis Sejahtera Marketing Director Suryono Hidayat said this service is expected to provide highly efficient digital payment services and service levels for partner banks amid the disruption of the pandemic and the impact of uncertain global geopolitical conditions.
“If the bank has not entered the BI-Fast, the cost still uses the old price (Rp 6,500). They are ashamed of their customers. Therefore, they are competing so that they can implement BI-Fast at Rp 2,500, ”Suryono told the media at the Fairmont Hotel on Tuesday (09/27/2022).
Suryono also said that there are currently 15 banks committed to adhering to the next 5 and 6 phases of the program.
“In total there are 26 banking partners who have chosen PT Rintis Sejahtera as their partner to use BI-Fast services,” he explained.
BPD DIY’s Chief Executive Officer Santoso Rohmad said that BPD DIY’s joining as BI-Fast participants was part of the regional banks’ contribution in accelerating the digitization of the national financial system. Furthermore, the BPD is at the forefront of the regional government’s financial payment system. From levies, vehicle taxes, other taxes, including BPD, and also facilitating MSMEs,
“Of course it is a challenge for us. And if the others have made a transaction of Rp. 2,500, we are still Rp. 6,500. Obviously this is a challenge for us, who have quite a lot of MSME in the Yogyakarta Special Region.” Santoso said.
In this case, Santoso said, especially for rural MSMEs that have not been touched by banks in urban areas, this collaboration has enormous benefits. Of course, this also has benefits for the improvement of the regional economy.
“So that all MSMEs, all of our tourism, are digitized,” he added.
