Rowers Syring suspended for two years | Free press

Bonn (AP) – The Magdeburg rower Philipp-André Syring has been banned for 24 months. The reason for this is a multiple failure of the reporting obligations within one year, announced the national anti-doping agency Nada.

The international sports arbitration tribunal (CAS) had already made the corresponding judgment on January 28th. The 24-year-old former junior world champion Syring will also be deprived of all competition results between June 21, 2018 and April 8, 2019.

The CAS judgment came about because the Nada was drawn before the CAS after the first instance arbitration ruling by the German Sports Arbitration Court (Dis) on April 14, 2020. Syring had only closed the Dis for one year at the time. Syring can now only appeal to the Swiss Federal Supreme Court.
