The famous actor bought the car in May 2021, but has not even driven 3,000 kilometers. But he gave the car perfect care.
Rowan Atkinson is primarily a famous actor and comedian, but at the same time he is also an occasional racer and an enthusiastic car collector. One of the cars in his collection is the 1993 Lancia HF Integrale Evo II, which will be part of the Silverstone Auctions auction on February 25 at the Race Retro Show.
The famous actor bought the car in May 2021, when it had driven just over 87,000 kilometers. According to the latest photos, the speedometer now shows only 89,300 kilometers. As the company delivers Silverstone Auctions – the car has recently had quite a bit of investment to keep it in perfect condition.
Painted in what is said to be a rare Lord Blue, this particular car was originally delivered to Japan. In 2011, however, it was exported to Great Britain. It is worth noting that the car is left-hand drive – just like all original Integrale models.
According to Silverstone Auctions, the car is in perfect condition, which is also indicated by a look at the beautifully maintained cabin with bright upholstery. In addition, the car is accompanied by extensive documentation on its history, including service history, documents on importation to Great Britain and a document on the current MOT inspection (similar to the Czech MOT).
Let us remind you that the Lancia HF Integrale model was created for the homologation of cars in the WRC series, where these cars enjoyed great success during the eighties and nineties. In 1991, the first modernized Evo model was presented, and in 1993, the automaker presented the next evolution – Evo II.
Under the hood of the second evolution of the model was an improved 2.0-liter turbocharged 16-valve four-cylinder that produced 158 kW (215 hp). In addition, the modernized version received new 16″ alloy wheels, aluminum fuel tank cap, red painted valve cover, Momo leather-upholstered steering wheel or Recaro sports seats. All these details are also visible on the sold piece.
Considering the relatively low mileage, excellent condition and famous previous owner, it is no surprise that the price of the auctioned car is estimated at 65,000 to 75,000 pounds, i.e. approx. 1.8 to 2 million crowns.
