The man suspected of shooting a woman in a Rotterdam house over Christmas probably spent the night there and left his two children with his body the next day.
The 43-year-old woman was probably shot and killed on the night between Christmas and Boxing Day. It wasn’t until the following evening that one of the children called the family for help, she writes Rijnmond.
Partner violence
According to the Public Prosecutor, the children witnessed a terrible drama. Justice presupposes intimate partner violence. It is not yet known whether the suspect is the father of the children.
The 44-year-old suspect remains in custody for the time being. He is suspected of murder or manslaughter. Another suspect has been released. He remains suspected of involvement. Allegedly, after the shooting, the prime suspect went to the released suspect’s home with the firearm.
