“From lockdown to traffic jam” – this is the motto under which over 30 driving schools from the region hold a rally in Rottendorf on Monday morning. On the grounds of Gut Wöllried, they want to draw attention to their situation in lockdown and the time afterwards. Because: Driver training will be delayed in all driving schools after they reopen – the longer the standstill, the greater the student traffic jam. The module training for professional drivers in all areas as well as the basic training in theory and practice cannot be carried out at the moment – a traffic jam is also expected here. The experience after the first lockdown has shown that a prudent and careful continuation of the driver’s license training with excellent hygiene concepts is possible, according to the initiators. According to TÜV Süd, there were around 15 percent fewer tests last year than in 2019 due to corona. Similar figures are expected for this year. In 2021, you will probably not be able to serve all the requested exams to the usual extent. With the event on Monday, the participating driving schools from Würzburg, Main-Spessart and Kitzingen would like to point out the urgency of their problems. You want to make yourself heard in public and in politics. However, the rally is not public and the participants specifically do not want any spectators.
