Members and guests of the Rotary E-Club Bavaria International demonstrated social commitment and craftsmanship by building furniture from Euro pallets for the clinic garden of the Ameos Klinikum St. Elisabeth Neuburg. This means that new, modern and comfortable seating is now available to the young patients of the child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy department. The Rotary E-Club Bavaria International covered the material costs and the construction.
The idea of building sustainable pallet furniture came about two years ago. At that time, the Rotary E-Club Bavaria International made seating from Euro pallets for the first time in the city of Bremen. The aim of the club, which was founded in 2014, is to bring different people together. To this end, the club collects donations, organizes an international youth exchange and supports various social projects and their financing.
Rotary E-Club donates pallet furniture to Neuburg Hospital
“We are very pleased with the great commitment and active involvement of the Rotary E-Club Bavaria International. The self-made pallet furniture is an eye-catcher in our clinic garden and contributes immensely to its attractiveness for children and young people,” says Dr. Simon Mayer, chief physician of the clinic for child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy at the Ameos Klinikum St. Elisabeth Neuburg. “Our warmest thanks go to all members of the Rotary E-Club Bavaria International who took on the financing and successful implementation of the project,” emphasizes Ann-Kathrin Schmidt, deputy hospital director of the Ameos Klinikum St. Elisabeth Neuburg.
The child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy department at Neuburg Hospital offers comprehensive psychiatric care for children and adolescents up to the age of 18. This includes mental and emotional disorders, psychological, psychosomatic, developmental and neurological illnesses as well as the resulting behavioral problems. (AZ)
