Rotarians to donate mother’s prosthetics

Monclova., Coah.-In an effort to support low-income women suffering from breast cancer who have had to have a breast removed for their recovery, Rotarian women are working to donate breast implants and bras to these people with mastectomies.

The president of Rotary ladies said that starting from the first two months of 2023 a series of activities and sales will be carried out to raise funds and thus acquire the prostheses and bras that will be delivered to women who have had to undergo a mastectomy due to cancer and to those looking to boost their self-esteem through the delivery of these items.

She said the first event will be the sale of “Chrispi” donuts with the support of the municipal DIF, which will take care of channeling women who will benefit from this delivery which is done with all the heart of women volunteers in the community.

“As women we need to be united and especially when someone is going through a difficult time, many women feel insecure because they have had one or both breasts removed during treatment and that is why we try to support them, because we know part of recovery is about feeling well and these articles are really helping women feel better about themselves.”
