Rostec is completing tests of a new tracked version of the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun system (ZRPK), the state corporation reports today, January 3, in its telegram channel.
We are talking about the Pantsir-SM-SV modification. The armament is installed on a new tracked chassis, which allows the air defense missile system to accompany and cover infantry and air defense systems while marching through snow and off-road.
The Pantsir-SM-SV tests are coming to an end. The appearance of these complexes in the troops will greatly increase air defense capabilities at low altitudes and in the near zone, the report notes.
Within the framework of Rostec, this ZRPK will be created by the High-Precision Complexes holding.
The Russian Armed Forces are using modernized Pantsir-SM air defense systems in the special military operation zone; they demonstrate increased effectiveness compared to the basic version of the system, RIA Novosti reported last month, citing an informed source.
