Recall from Rossmann: Soy flakes contain tropane alkaloids
The reason for the recall is a hazardous substance that could be in the soy flakes. As Rossmann reports, tropane alkaloids were detected in the product as part of a self-assessment.
Tropan alkaloids are natural ingredients of certain plants such as Henbane, datura and deadly cherry. These so-called “weeds” could have been accidentally added to the soybean harvest.

Rossmann regrets recall of soy flakes
