Here the difference is exactly PLN 40.04. In turn, David Beckham’s “Bold Instinct” perfumes in Germany cost over PLN 64 in the case of a 50 ml bottle. A Polish customer will pay the same, but will receive a 30 ml bottle. Another example provided by the website is a L’Oréal Paris proofreader, for which a German consumer will pay PLN 45.47. The same product offered in Polish Rossmanns already costs PLN 68.99.

Where do the differences in prices? – Rossmann Polska, despite the fact that it offers many products also available in Germany, buys them here in Poland, i.e. from other suppliers on different commercial terms. The price at which Rossmann Polska buys goods is therefore often different from the price at which Rossmann Germany buys the same goods in Germany – Agata Nowakowska, a spokeswoman for the Polish branch of the company, said in an interview with money.pl. She added that Rossmann Polska and Rossmann Germany are separate entities and independently shape their pricing policy.

Agata Nowakowska also explained that sale in Polish Rossmanns they are popular and often appear in shops, while in Germany they occur sporadically.

The president of Rossmann Polska, Marek Maruszak, himself spoke about the promotion in Polish and German stores of this chain. He explained that the Germans want to have a constantly low price, while Poles are primarily looking for a promotion. – In Germany, promotions are not as popular as in Poland, they are less than 15 percent. sales. On the other hand, the Polish consumer is primarily looking for bargains […] We cannot imagine a visit to a store without a promotion – said Maruszak.
