From August 14, Rossiya Airlines plans to resume the flight program from Sochi abroad.
Direct flights are planned to the cities of Turkey – Istanbul, Antalya, Dalaman, Armenia – Yerevan and the United Arab Emirates – Dubai. Superjet 100 aircraft will be used for transportation, the company’s press service said.
Rossiya is part of the Aeroflot group and is the largest operator of domestically produced aircraft. There are 135 aircraft in the fleet, of which 78 are Superjet 100s.
As Kuban News previously reported, air traffic between Sochi and Tbilisi, interrupted since 2019, resumed on July 11. The first Red Wings aircraft flew to the capital of Georgia. On the route, he went with a delay. Direct flights will be operated by Sukhoi Superjet, designed for 100 passengers. Departures are scheduled twice a week – on Tuesdays and Sundays. Travel time is just over an hour.
Recall that in the Krasnodar Territory there is only one airport – in Sochi. The air harbors of Krasnodar, Anapa and Gelendzhik have been closed since February 2022. Against the backdrop of aviation restrictions in southern Russia, Sochi Airport operates as a logistics hub.
