BOLASPORT.COM – Racer Monster Energy Yamaha, Valentino Rossi, failed to finish in the race MotoGP Catalunya 2020 taking place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Sunday (27/9/2020).

Valentino Rossi fell at turn 2 when the race still left 9 laps.

Valentino Rossi who started the race from third place performed well at the start. He even had time to occupy second place after following Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) on lap 17, turn 1.

Not long after, he immediately slipped while trying to catch Fabio Quartararo.

For the Italian racer, this is the third time he failed to finish in MotoGP 2020 after previously failing to finish in the Spanish MotoGP race and the Emilia Romagna GP.

The start of the 2020 Catalunya MotoGP race looked promising after the two Petronas Yamaha SRT riders, Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo, and Rossi each started from first to third position.

Many predict the Catalunya GP podium will again be controlled by Yamaha.

However, only Quartararo was on the first podium followed by Joan Mir and Alex Rins who were Suzuki Ecstar racers.

Rossi said Suzuki’s knowledge of the challenge at the end of the race at Barcelona contributed to his performance.
