Rossi’s comeback in MotoGP Portugal failed

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Valentino Rossi back to the paddock in the event MotoGP Portugal 2022but the presence of The Doctor could not lift the performance of the Mooney VR46 team.

Rossi was seen visiting his team’s paddock on Saturday, as the riders underwent a free practice session until qualifying.

Rossi’s presence, which was caught on camera, did not mean much to the results of the race. Two Mooney VR46 drivers, Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi, failed to finish in the top 10.

Marini, Rossi’s half-brother, who started from eighth place is in 12th place and takes home four points.

Meanwhile, Bezzecchi, who made a surprise start in sixth position, had to settle for an additional one point after finishing in 15th.

The 12th and 15th finishes for Marini and Bezzecchi were not the best achievements of the season. Previously, Marini had finished in 11th place when bulldozing the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit in the Argentine MotoGP. While Bezzecchi has the experience of finishing ninth, also in MotoGP Argentina.

Marini is temporarily ranked 16th with 14 points. Marini is quite routine in getting points, and only failed to add points in the American MotoGP.

While Bezzecchi is ranked 19th with eight points. Bezzecchi is temporarily listed as the rookie driver with the most points, ahead of Darryn Binder, Remy Gardner, Raul Fernandez, and Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Mooney VR46 is currently 10th in the MotoGP team standings with a total of 22 points, only ahead of WithU Yamaha RNF and Tech3 KTM Factory Racing.
