Kanga he had fantastic numbers in the Czech Republic, he was one of the best foreigners in the history of the league. He scored 28 goals in 69 matches of the highest competition, adding nine assists. He often decided the matches himself. At the same time, however, his character sometimes hurt the team.
It was not easy to get along with him, it was not easy to get him to follow the rules. Negotiations on a new contract were complicated. As is known from recent days, it did not turn out: Kanga may be headed to the Crest Star in Belgrade, but she may eventually hear Celta Vigo’s lure.

What is certain is that it will not continue in Sparta.
At the same time, Sparta was – logically – interested in keeping the important man, but she came up with conditions that were supposed to force Kang to “makat”.
“After taking up the position of sports director, I mentioned things that will be absolutely essential for me when composing a team and which form the basis of my idea of how a real team works. One of these things was for Sparta to present itself again as a real team, not as a set of individuals. At the same time, I also talked about the fact that in Sparta we will work with players who have a desire to be in the club, identify with the club and its values and have a team mindset, “says Rosický.
“After the experience with Kanga, we have evaluated that our common path can only be a contract that will motivate the player from the very beginning to continue to meet these criteria,” explains the Spartan sports director.
“That’s why we designed the model: you play, you perform the tasks of a coach, you are disciplined, you have a two-year contract. Kanga himself imagined such a length of new contractual cooperation. But this model was also set up like this: you are not disciplined, you do not respect teammates and coaches, then you do not play and you will only be here with us for a year. “
Kang did not accept this compromise. He longed for a multi-year offer presented to him by Crvena zvezda, from where he came to Letná in the winter of 2018.

In Sparta, the era of an exceptional midfielder ended, who gradually won the hearts of the fans, but he was also not completely into the party, sometimes he was not willing to submit to the team. His reluctance to take defensive duties was well known.
