The race on the Aragon track is scheduled for this weekend, but 41-year-old Rosi revealed that he may have to miss the next stage, which will take place in Aragon a week later.
“I woke up this morning and didn’t feel well. I had a sore bone and a slight fever, so I immediately called the doctors who examined me twice,” Rosi said in a statement.
The athlete said that the test performed on Tuesday was negative. The first tests after feeling unwell showed the same, but on Thursday the last results were positive.
Fabio Quartararo has won 115 points in nine stages, Hoans Mirs is second with 105 points, followed by Andrea Doviciozo and Maverik Vinjaless with 97 and 96 points.
The first stage of the season was scheduled for March 8 in Qatar, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, MotoGP athletes only started the championship at the end of July in the Spanish city of Heres.
The season calendar foresees at least 14 stages this season.
