Roshan League Clubs Deny Increase in Foreign Players for Winter Transfer Period

A private source explained to Al-Riyadiya that an increase in the number of foreign players for Saudi Roshan League clubs in the upcoming winter transfer period is completely out of the question. There have been media reports in recent days about the increase in winter.
Yesterday, the Saudi Professional League asked the Roshen League clubs to provide it with views and proposals regarding the appropriate number of foreign players for the coming seasons. According to a letter signed by Carlo Nohra, the Association’s Chief Operating Officer, a copy of which is kept by Al-Riyadiyah, the Association demanded that the reasons be detailed and that a response be provided no later than tomorrow, to be sent by official mail. It is noteworthy that Al-Riyadiya referred in its issue dated October 2, 2023, to a meeting held to discuss increasing the number of foreign players in the Saudi Roshen League clubs to 10 instead of 8. It added that the meeting consisted of Yasser Al-Mashal, President of the Saudi Football Federation, and Ibrahim Al-Qasim, Secretary. General, Saad Al-Ladhiz, CEO of the Saudi Professional League, Nasser Largeit, Technical Director, and a representative from the Competitions Committee.
