showbizBrooklyn Beckham and his in-laws are involved in a lawsuit with their wedding planners. According to billionaire Nelson Peltz, father of Brooklyn’s bride Nicola, the organization really didn’t get anywhere. The legal dispute causes a lot of details about the marriage to come out.
It was labeled ‘the wedding of 2022’ last year and it certainly was impressive. Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding took place over two days with 300 guests at father Peltz’s 5-acre estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Eva Longoria, Gordon Ramsay, Serena and Venus Williams and ex-Spice Girls Mel B and Mel C, among others, were on the guest list of the party that cost 3.5 million euros. Included was a very expensive Valentino wedding dress, tailored Dior suits for David Beckham and his sons, an unlimited supply of champagne worth €200 a bottle, a custom dance floor with water features, and an after-party completely covered in pink.
Yet Nelson Peltz, a wealthy investor whose wealth is estimated at 1.5 billion euros (four times the fortune of the Beckhams) was not satisfied. The man filed a legal file against the wedding planners because they would not have done a good job. According to him, everything was very chaotic. It was – read in his words – “a shit show”. Peltz fired the two ladies and is demanding his advance of 117,000 euros back.
Nonsense, think the two ladies who call Peltz “a bullying billionaire” and they also take the magnate to court for breach of contract. In fact, they are doing the same with the bride and her mother, demanding 36,000 euros in damages plus costs, which can amount to hundreds of thousands of euros.
Quarrel with Victoria
The file ensures that all the details of the marriage are out in the open. It says, among other things, that Nicola Peltz would have spent 75,000 euros on her hair and make-up, and she kept that from her father. She found the band that came to perform “too corny”, so she had a new group put together around the singer. Peltz sent back the white roses she had chosen beforehand because they were “less white than she would have liked”.
It is a new debacle in the marriage of Brooklyn and Nicola, because Brooklyn’s mom Victoria Beckham also got into trouble with her daughter-in-law because she did not choose a wedding dress from Victoria’s own collection. The planners didn’t get much time to put out fires, because father Peltz showed them the door after just nine days.
