Although her life on Instagram looks glamorous, according to Rose, it’s not that bad in practice. At home she is ‘just’ the mother of two daughters whom she takes care of every day. If she has to go abroad for a few days, she gets help from a nanny.
Juice channels paint a completely different picture of Rose. For example, she would be a party animal who mainly has her children raised by nannies. An image that, according to her, is absolutely wrong. “I think in the end I’m home more than someone with a nine to five job.”
Although she says she has a ‘thick skin’, all that gossip does not leave her untouched. “It continues to hurt. If I go out for a night and someone films me dancing, a whole story is built around it.”
Those gossip not only affect her, but also the people around her. Her ex-boyfriend, children and family in particular suffer from the messages. For Rose it is important to speak out against the juice channels in the media. “Because it’s ridiculous and because it’s interfering with my mental health. I’m lying awake wondering what the hell people think of me when they see stuff like this.”
Rose especially feels helpless. “You know, it’s harmful and that damage is hard to repair. I can say so many times that they are lies, but if people choose to believe those lies, then it stops.”
