The former secretary of Social Development, Rosario Robles Berlanga, who is imprisoned for alleged diversion of resources, complains that the Attorney General of the Republic, Alejandro Gertz Manero, display her as guilty through Twitter y Facebook.
Through the file system of the Federal Judicial Council (CJF), on December 3, a document of 24 pages was made public that reveals that the former official allegedly linked to “The Master Scam” assures that the Prosecutor’s Office presents her as guilty of having caused patrimonial damage to the Mexican State of 15 billion pesos when it should not do so.
“He presents me publicly and before the entire Mexican society as guilty of having caused patrimonial damage to the Mexican State of 15 billion pesos, when this should in any case be determined by a Judge in a final and firm judgment,” says Rosario Robles through of a complaint filed before the Third Collegiate Court in Administrative Matters of the First Circuit.
The event organized by the agency and transmitted by social networks on August 12, 2020, where even the Prosecutor’s Office compared his case with other cases of national relevance, specifically stands out.
Refers to the statement made by the prosecutor Gertz Manero where he assured that the difference between Emilio Lozoya and Rosario Robles was that the former offered to collaborate with the Mexican authorities to clarify the cases Odebrecht, while Robles did not offer the same in the case of the “Master Scam”, for which she remained in jail.
“These demonstrations were known nationwide by the media and social networks such as Twitter and Facebook,” he complains.
He adds: “I have at all times the right to be treated as an innocent person, inside and outside the criminal procedure. This is what Article 8.2 of the American Convention on Human Rights requires.
“In the specific case, the Attorney General of the Republic presented me as guilty before all Mexican society, since there is no final and final judgment in the criminal case that I am facing, much less a Judge has established in a definitive resolution that the undersigned is guilty of causing patrimonial damage to the Mexican State of 15 billion pesos ”.
This complaint was referred to the Fifteenth District Court of Amparo in Criminal Matters in Mexico City, as read in the complaint number 99/2020.
